Dear Members,
It is my great pleasure and honor to serve
as the Governor of the American Tamil Medical Association - Greater Washington Chapter
in 2009 and 2010.
I joined the association 6 years ago because
of the enthusiasm and dedication of the founding leaders in Maryland. I admire the
tireless effort and time that has been spent in this organization by the past and
present leaders of ATMA to improve the quality, membership and the number of charitable
contributions not only to specific needs in Tamil Nadu but also world wide. This
has deeply inspired me and drawn my interest in this leadership to achieve the goals
of ATMA by providing periodic health camps for the uninsured, Continuing Medical
Education programs for health care professionals and meetings to enrich our cultural
and social values, in the Greater Washington area.
I urge the members of our chapter to support
our organization by recruiting new members, volunteering your time, expertise and
supplies for health camps and donating money to help the sick and needy during fund
raising events. Your attendance and active participation in every event will be
greatly appreciated to make this year a great success.
Thank you all for giving me the opportunity
to serve this great charitable organization.
Sincerely,
Jeyanthi Sirithara
Governor, GW Chapter
