Jeyanthi Sirithara MD – Governor : |
|
Dr.Sirithara is a graduate of Madurai Medical College. Completed her Neurology residency
and a year of fellowship in Neuro rehabilitation at University of Maryland and currently
working as a consultant for MD state hospitals. Resides in Ellicott City with her
husband Sirithara and their youngest daughter Rhea. She loves to travel, listen
to music, read murder mysteries and make new friends. Dr. Sirithara says that the
enthusiasm and dedication of her Chapter founders and leaders of ATMA have drawn
her interest in this noble organization. She hopes to stay committed to the causes
of ATMA even after her leadership for years to come.

Sankari Sivasailam MD – Secretary :
|

Dr. Sankari Sivasailam graduated from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai in July 1988.
After moving to the US, She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the
St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore and fellowship in Hematology Oncology at University
of Maryland Medical System. She joined private practice in 1998 and continues to
practice with Maryland Hematology/Oncology Associates for the past 12 years. She
is the Chairman of Cancer Committee in Upper Chesapeake Health System in Hardford
County, Maryland. Her main interest is in women’s health and very involved in breast
cancer program development in her practice and Upper Chesapeake Health. Her passion
for service to India and Tamil Nadu lead to her active participation in ATMA. She
served as the secretary of ATMA during the first year of its inception. She continues
to be an active member of ATMA and currently is the secretary of Greater Washington
Chapter. She hopes to continue to stay involved as an active participant in the
future activities of ATMA.

M.VASANTHAKUMAR MD – Treasurer
|
|
Hails from Chennai , graduated from Madras Medical College in December, 1973. Obtained
DLO in 1976 and MS ( ENT) in 1979. Served in National Health Service in UK from
1979 to 1987 obtained FRCS from Royal College of Edinborough in 1983. Worked in
Middle East for 2 years before coming to USA in 1989. Completed Internal Medicine
residency in 1993 and in private practice since then. One of the founder members
ofATMA. Treasurer ATMA Greater Washington chapter. Wife, Revathi Kumar is a BharathaNatiyam
teacher and an active fund raiser for ATMA.
